Hurricane Rick/Tropical Storm
<FONT size=3> Hurricane Rick was the strongest west coast hurricane on record before crashing into Mazatlan as a tropical storm. Winds were recorded at 55 mph with gusts in the 70"s. The damage you see is just a glimspe of what happend. The photos of the divers and refuse at the marina is the aftermath of nine sport fishing boats that were lost. Some friends south of town that live on the beach had a window sucked out of their brand new home. First, the wind blew the windows in, then it pulled them outward. Luckily the rain was not heavy and nobody was severely injured. The day after the storm the weather cooled down several degrees at night and it appears we are out of the summer heat. </FONT>
